Jordan Amateur Championship “JAC 5” Fight Night Recap

Jordan Amateur Championship (JAC) hosted its fifth MMA/K1 event in Amman, Jordan on Friday (November 20 , 2015) inside King Hussein Sports City, Boxing Arena as JAC 5 produced a slew of scintillating finishes. The following takes you through the main points of each fight:

The night saw 11 total fights with 5 title belts on the action packed card, including 7 MMA and 4 K1 bouts headlined by Ahmad “Ondi” Ondash who went on to plaster Jalal Al Da’Jaa with a blasting KO (Punch) in the second round.

MMA Fights:

In the opening fight of the evening, Team Narmouq’s Issa Basem snatched a unanimous decision victory in his amateur MMA debut , utilizing his grappling as well as ground and pound skills to secure a clean win.

Al-Mherat Moh. entered the cage with former Desert Force champion Al Selwady in his corner to face Brahim Ali. In a back and forth battle, Al-Mherat managed to impress the judges and walk away with the win after 3 hard fought rounds.

Ali Mashaali representing Shishani Submission Systems landed a frightening head kick knockout in the second round sending Horani face first to the canvas.

Another first round finish that night was the property of Mohamed Alkazimi. Moh manged to sink a deep rear naked choke ending the fight early in the first round.

Moataz Tomaizi recorded the second win for Shishani Submission Systems . In the second round , Tomaizi rushed in with punches, took Aleimat down and submitted him with style Via Americana to earn the JAC featherweight belt.

Impressive submission win for Jafar Al-Tamimi against the much less experienced Saleem Al-Bakri. A transition from Kimura to armbar forced Al-Bakri to tap. Al -Tamimi walks away with the JAC lightweight title.

In the co main event that night, Jordanian Al Bashabshe made quick work of Anthony Zeidan submitting him early in the first round.

K1 Fights:

The first K1 fight that night ended in a controversial fashion as both fighters, Sinno and Salameh head clashed which lead to fight stoppage. According to WAKO rules, Moh. Salameh took the decision win as he scored more points in the first 2 rounds.

Altaamari’s Yousef zoughbaba faced Tunisian Moh al afrawi in what was a one sided exciting beating. Five Judges gave Zoghbaba the definite decision win and the promotions K1 Lightheavyweight belt.

A fight that had the crowd on their feet had local favorate Ezzedine Alderabene face Lebanon’s Fady Bou Abboud. Alderabene surprised everyone as he out striked the much more experienced shogun fighter to earn a well deserved light middleweight title.

In the main event of the evening, Team shogun’s Ondash proved he is as potent as ever with his one punch knockout over Jalal AlDa’Jaa; one of the best strikers in Jordan . Ondash claimed the JAC K1 super lightweight belt and the only win for Lebanon that night. Boy it was one hell of a finish.
