KSW 56 has officially been announced to take place on 14 November 2020. The event will feature the return of KSW welterweight champion Roberto Soldic (17-3), KSW light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun (17-3), and undefeated rising star Karolina Owczarz (3-0).
Soldic has thrilled the MMA world with his highlight-reel finishes since making his KSW debut in 2017. The Croatian has won the KSW welterweight title in his promotional debut after defeating the former longtime champion, Borys Mankowski.
In his next fight, he had dropped the title to Dricus Du Plessis but immediately gained it back in a rematch finishing the South African in spectacular fashion. Since then, he has scored a number of one-punch knockout wins and is currently on an 11-1 run since 2016.
While Soldic is known as one of the best welterweights in Europe, Tomasz Narkun is regarded as arguably the best light heavyweight in Europe and has been the KSW champion since 2015, defending his title four times in the process.
Narkun also has the distinction of being the first man ever to beat Mamed Khalidov in KSW, a run that lasted over a decade. He has won sixteen of his seventeen wins by stoppage and has career wins over the likes of Goran Reljic, Sokoudjou, Przemysław Mysiala, Karol Celiński, and more.
Also returning is rising KSW star Karolina Owczarz. A former pro boxer, reality TV star, and media presenter, Owczarc made her pro-MMA debut at KSW 42 and has since won three straight, including two wins by submission. As a result of the 27-year-old, and training partner to Karolina Kowalkiewicz, has become a big fan favorite in her native Poland. Opponents for the star trio for KSW 56 are TBA.
