20 year old Tunisian M-1 and Cage Warriors veteran Mansour Barnaoui (9-2) will face the biggest challenge of his career at BAMMA 13! Filling in for American Jake Murphy (6-2) who has withdrawn due to shoulder injury, Barnaoui will be facing British UFC veteran Curt Warburton for the Lightweight title. It is worth mentioning that Warburton has participated in three fights in the UFC (1-2) and has recorded a five fight win streak since he left the UFC in 2011.
Mansour ‘Tarzan’ Barnaoui has recently defeated Russian Zulfikar Usmanov with a rear-naked-choke submission on August 21. With 9 victories on his record including 6 submissions, 2 TKO’s and just 1 decision, Barnaoui has only lost twice, and only via the judges scorecards.
BAMMA 13 takes place on September 14 at Birmingham’s NIA Arena, headlined by three title fights including Warburton vs Barnaoui, Max Nunes vs Jason Jones for the light-heavyweight world championship, and Jim Wallhead vs Eddy Ellis for the world welterweight title.
