They asked, and they received. An already star-studded lineup at Desert Force 13 just got a little bit stronger with a middleweight bout between Mhamad Karaki (3-0) and Hossien Mollamahdi.
Needless to introduce, Karaki is the first ever light heavyweight champion at Desert Force, but it has been a while since his last appearance. Karaki earned his title back in June 2013 at Desert Force – Grand Prix Finals on MBC Action event in a fight against Feras Saada, almost more than a year ago.
Hossein Mollamahdi on the other hand is an Iranian fighter currently living in Dubai. According to Desert Force match maker Youssef Nassar, standout wrestler Hossein (2-1) used to fight at light heavyweight is dropping to 84. Mollamahdi headlined GFC (Global Fighting Championship) last May in Dubai against Luke Jumeau where he got knocked out in the first round. Not the best match up for a champion yet given the fact that he is dropping weight, this could be a safe bet for the promotion and the fighter himself.
