Florida | American Top Team, house of Ricardo Liborio and Marcus Conan Silviera along with a basket of MMA Champions welcomed some special guests all the way from Beirut this month.
Former Desert Force champion Mohamed Karaki and his striking coach Shogun’s Ali Makhzoum have made it a habit to roam different gyms all around the world, refining and improving their skills as they return home, with each his own goals.
Karaki, in a short video sent to ArabsMMA (watch below), stated that the reason behind this visit is mainly his upcoming title fight scheduled in December. This fight is part of Al Academiya Season 3 Finale which is being aired on MBC Action. He will face the current Middleweight champion, Ibrahim Elsawi in Ibrahim’s home country, in a chance to be the first ever Desert Force fighter to hold 2 titles in different weight categories.
“Training head to head with UFC Fighters such as Junior Dos Santos and Robbie Lawler is life changing. These trainings and spars are not just for this fight, but a lifetime experience.”
It is notable to mention that Karaki is one of two fighters sponsored by Sayfco Holding, one of the best real estate companies in the middle east. This trip was fully backed up by Sayfco, providing Karaki with perfect conditions to get ready for this title.
In turn, Makhzoum’s personal development keeps on advancing as an MMA striking coach and Team Shogun moves closer and closer to being considered the best in Middle East.
