Lebanon | The sport of MMA took a giant step forward this week after the Arab Mixed Martial Arts Federation was established, and now, as we speculated earlier, the first Lebanese MMA federation is born. The launch of the long-overdue LMMAF, “Lebanese Mixed Martial Arts Federation” is now official!
This federation will present a solid infrastructure to promote and radiate MMA locally, regionally, and internationally, under the aegis of President-elect Mr. Khalil Nassour.
This is surely a big step for the future of amateur and professional fighters inLebanon as this newly established entity offers a serious framework for players and coaches with regards to career stability and development.
The General Manager of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Zeid Khyameh has signed the first administrative memo of the Lebanese Mixed Martial Arts Federation. Remember this date , 20-10-2015.
The following list contains the members of the Federation’s Administrative Committee who won unchallenged, elected by acclamation by the General Assembly, after the distribution of roles and functions.

After his unchallenged election as President, Khalil Nassour announced that MMA now has an legal and official body uniting a family of clubs, players, and administrators, forming an alliance for the benefit of the sport that is growing very quickly in Lebanon. Nassour went on to thank everyone that contributed to the birth of the Federation specificly the Minister of Youth and Sports, Brigadier Abdul Muttalib Hinnawi and General Manager Zeid khyameh and head of the sports interest in the ministry Mohammed Owaidat.
The Lebanese Mixed Martial Arts Federation has been created to further the development of MMA on a national scale by organizing and standardizing the sport.
ArabsMMA applauds the announcement made earlier today of the creation of the new Lebanese Mixed Martial Arts Federation (LMMAF). We wholeheartedly support this new initiative as well as its leader, LMMAF President Khalil Nassour, who will spearhead the initial growth of this Federation.
