Nawras Abzakh X Nassif Azar at Cage Warriors 61
Another addition to Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 71 fight card has been added with the Jordanian Circassian, Nawras Abzakh, making his professional flyweight debut in his home country on the 22nd of August.>
After only two successful amateur appearances in Cage Warriors, with both his fights ending via first round guillotine choke submission in under the time frame of one minute against opponents Nassif Azar and Ahmad Hama, Abzakh is now 3-0 in his full amateur record. His impressive performances and quick finishes encouraged him to turn pro as quickly as he did and test himself against opponents of more experience and a higher caliber.
For CWFC 71, Abzakh’s opponent will be Connor “Hand Grenade” Hignettwho hails from England with an amateur record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Hignett is known for his Muay Thai, but has also finished two of his fights via submission of a calf slicer and armbar submission, so his jujitsu is not to be under-rated. He also has more than 12 unsanctioned mixed martial arts fights which make him a very well rounded and experienced opponent for Abzakh, especially due to the fact Hignett has seen much more rounds and battles.
This will be the place and challenge for Abzakh to show what he is really made off. A win over a decorated opponent such as Hignett will make Abzakh’s future bright and clear. Stay tuned for what Nawras Abzakh has to say about his upcoming fight.
