ONE 166 transpired on March 1st, 2024 from Lusail Sports Arena in Lusail, Qatar.

This was one of the more MMA-predominant cards the promotion has put on in a while. That being said it was a multi-martial art offering. There was a few Muay Thai bouts, boxing action, and a submission grappling contest also taking place with this ONE Championship offering. The full results can be found below.

After retiring Reinier de Ridder in round three, he is now fittingly a three-division titleholder in the ONE Circle.

ONE featherweight champion Tang Kai defended the title against the man he claimed the crown from but ended it inside the distance this time. While his first fight vs Thanh Le was a unanimous decision win, Kai went 2-0 over Le via knockout in the waning seconds of the third round.

Jarred Brooks would lose his ONE strawweight championship in less than a minute via disqualification. This came after illegally, as instantiated by the ONE global ruleset, spiking Pacio on his head with a slam. Joshua Pacio regained the belt and has now tied up his series with ‘The Monkey God’ after previously losing the strap to Brooks.

Iranian heavyweight Amir Aliakbari bested a former ONE titleholder in the weight division, Arjan Bhullar. The victory came in inauspicious fashion though as Bhullar was given a red card in the final minute of the fight and disqualified for timidity. This came following two prior yellow cards for inactivity throughout the ONE 166 bout.
