ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix Announced

ONE Championship announces the inaugural ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced on his official Facebook account that the promotion will kick off the new calendar year with the inaugural ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix.

ONE Championship had held similar super tournaments in 2019 and awarded 12-kilogram silver belts to each of the three winners. Those belts went to ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee, and ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Champion Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan.

The announcement was made by ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong after the exciting pregnancy news from ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee. Lee will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

No names were confirmed for the massive 2021 ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix, but stay tuned to ONEFC.com for more details. The Arab MMA world is looking forward if any fighters from the region will be represented which will be a mighty step by the promotion towards the region.
