A lighweight scrap between Silvester Saba and Mahmoud Saeed has been slated for the Desert Force “Al Academiya” Finale fight card on January 27,2014 according to Desert Force officials on Tuesday.
Saba (1-2) lost to Ahmad Bossairy in his latest Desert Force appearance at Desert Force Semi-finals. Silvester was also a semifinalist in “Al Academiya”, falling to Tareq Hamdi Via Unanimous decision. Saba was the aggressor in the first round but again his Asthma manages to cripple him half way through his fight. Hamdi will also take part of this fight card facing Saba’s teammate Elie El Rayyis for the “Al Academiya” lightweight championship.
Saeed (0-2) had suffered a loss to Mohamed Arti via armbar at his latest Desert Force appearance in 2012. He took part of Desert Force “Al Academiya” show but also lost to Tareq Hamdi Via unanimous decision in his first fight. A win for Mahmoud is very important, another loss could really hurt his record and overall placement as a lightweight contender.
A middleweight showdown between Mohammed Fakhreddine and Thabet Agha will be the main event.
Two co-main events will also feature Mohamad Ghorabi for Al Academiya welterweight Finale and Elie El rayyis Vs Tareq hamdi for Al Academiya lightweight Finale.
