By now MMA fans all over the Arab world have surely heard of “The Killer” Mohamed Ghorabi after he finished every fight he started at “Al Academiya” in spectacular fashion eaning him a spot in the Finale event. One thing Ghorabi and Shogun fighters possess in particular is the ability to finish fights! Not one decision win for The Killer in his MMA career proving fight after fight that facing him is no walk in the park for any welterweight.
Ghorabi had his debut MMA fight in RFC- Revolution Fighting Championship- Beirut finishing his opponent, Mohamed Osman, in the opening round Via TKO. He recently faced-off with Ahmed El Dawansy in the semi-finals of Desert Force “Al Academiya” were Ghorabi was once again victorious with a vicious TKO!
Seizing a win in his debut MMA fight on the same RFC – Beirut, fight card and also reaching Al Academiya Finale is Lightweight contender Elie El Rayyis. Known for his agility and speed El Rayyis made a name for himself in the well stacked lighweight division. A win next week means a possible title fight with the current Desert Force lightweight champ Haider Racheed.
El Rayyis A.K.A Baguera has a single loss on his MMA record and so does Ghorabi, a loss by DQ.
It has been great watching these fighters along the years as they grow more and more. Ironically, it was my first MMA event to ever watch live. Fight after fight, and with every training day these athletes grow drastically. Win or lose, there’s always a lesson to be learn.
both are very skilled strikers .. I think they have to work more on their ground game.
