Team Lebanon takes off for the IMMAF World Championships as scheduled in Las Vegas to embark on their journey to face competitors from 24 IMMAF member countries.

Lebanon, the only Arab country to be competing in this event, will be represented by hometown heroes Joeshwa Mortada, Richard Saliba, Imad Howayek, Ricardo Bashir, Rachel Abou Abdallah, and Mohamad Yakzan.

After winning the national tryouts in their respective weight classes, the Lebanese team members were selected from eligible applicants named by the LMMAF (Lebanse Mixed Martial Arts Federation). The athletes were further evaluated during a camp in which they received special training and support in order to get ready for the coming challenges.

The first four days of the World Championships tournament will be held at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and its prestigious Cox Pavilion. For the day of the finals, Saturday July 5th, the tournament will move into the UFC Fan Expo® at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
