WATCH | Youssef Boughanem KO’s Noppakao Siriluck at Phoenix 5

“It’s a big honor. I’m very happy. Even my people are very honored. I want to thank everyone that supported me,” Yousseff said.

On Monday, Feb. 26, Phoenix Fighting Championship hosted its fifth event from the famed Rajadamnern stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the night’s co-main event, reigning Rajadamnern middleweight champion Youssef Boughanem met current Lumpinee stadium champ Noppakaw Siriluck MuayThai, defeating him via 3rd round TKO for the Rajadamnern, Phoenix Fighting Championship and vacant WBC middleweight titles.

Watch the fight and enjoyed the technique, ferocity and atmosphere that the Moroccan brought to the legendary Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium. Boughanem, known to be one of the most accomplished non-thai fighters in the Muaythai scene, pressure Noppakaw against the ropes, who in turn showed signs of giving up. Boughanem showed no mercy and unleashed a vicious attack to end the bout aggressively and bag 3 titles in one night.

“I felt normal. I thought it was a traditional Muay Thai fight. Slow in round 1 and 2 but round three, four and five will be crazy,” Yousseff told TFN. “I thought he just wanted touch my glove then he give me hard leg kick, that’s what he did before. I thought he wanted to recover. That’s why I attacked him.”
