Surely no one can forget how Thabet Agha was able to clear the house and be crowned “Al Batal” in the show’s debut season last year!
This season promises to be even more exciting with 28 new fighters, all of which have only one thing in mind, to be the last man standing, the king of the hill, “Al Batal”. The natural selection process will be carried out through a series of fights where each fighter will fight one time, leaving us with only 14 warriors who have earned their spot in the house. This year’s coaches are Ray Elbe, who has not only trained in Muay Thai, but is has also adopted Muay Thai as a way of life. After living in Thailand, Kuwait is his current country of residence for the past 3 years. He holds a 23-11 record, 18 of his wins coming from gut-wrenching submissions, and has enjoyed a 6 fight win streak until his last bout in 2010.
On the opposite side we have Mehdi Baghdad who is a former Muay Thai world champion with an illustrious MMA career. He trains with team quest which is an esteemed establishment since it has graduated world-class fighters such as Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen in Temecula Florida, Not only has he been crowned Muay Thai world champion, he has also earned the title of K1 champion in Belgium and France. Both these coaches will go train their prospects as much as they can, but will it be enough? Make sure you don’t miss this season, all these ingredients make for one explosive main dish.
