Best Knockout of 2013
5. Victor Monfront vs Georges Eid
What a way to make your debut at Desert Force. We all knew that Victor Monfront was a dangerous striker who had competed in K1 competition previously. But he was up against a seasoned MMA fighter in Georges Eid who was no stranger to the striking arts and was a finalist on the Al Batal reality show. The fight started out in thrilling fashion with both fighters trading kicks and punches. Eid at one caught a kick and used it to put Victor and ground albeit the Spaniard was quick to get back up again and the bombs continued!
The KO moment came suddenly but emphatically! Eid had lost his footing slightly and fell forwards towards Victor who used his Muay Thai skills to capitalize on the opportunity and threw short strikers to the head of the Lebanese Bulldozer. All of a sudden, Georges Eid, who had previously always gone the distance in his fights against Thabet Agha (twice), Saad Tadlaoui, Tarek Benaamimi, Omar Omeish and Houdhaifa Gdouda was out cold! A short right landed right on the button, severing Georges from his senses and he collapsed where he stood!
What a way to make your debut at Desert Force!
